Tumbling Down the Rabbit Hole

An Erotic Alice in Wonderland Anthology

Tumbling Down the Rabbit Hole was Storm Wilder’s brainchild, and it’s a project I am honored to have been a part of. In addition to the philanthropic feel-goods (all proceeds go to the World Literacy Foundation), this was just a damn-fine group of authors to be a part of. The range of stories is impressive – from whimsical to bawdy to gritty (that one’s me). I also did the introduction and typesetting on print copy, which I highly recommend you take a look at as well.

The premise behind the anthology was that each participant would choose a character from Lewis Carroll’s original tales and spin it into a sexy reimagining. I chose Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, but might have to work hard to recognize them in my story.

It’s called “Bounce,” and it’s an erotic retelling of Through the Looking-Glass as a South Florida crime tale where Wonderland is a strip club and Alice is the new girl conniving to become queen bee. The main character, Derek Ryder, is the head bouncer at the club, and saying he has a… scandalous past would be putting it mildly. There’s no magic and whimsy in this story. It’s all sex and dark intrigue, though if you pay attention, the name symbolism should make who’s who clear enough.

As this was my first foray into writing in a contemporary setting, so in honor of that, I put together a soundtrack with a song selection for each scene in the story. Check it out if you’d like a play list to listen to while you read.
